Ingredients
200g smoked salmon, finely chopped
1 ripe avocado, diced
1 small shallot, finely chopped
1 tbsp capers, rinsed and chopped
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped smoked salmon, diced avocado, and finely chopped shallot.
2. Add the rinsed and chopped capers to the bowl.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and Dijon mustard.
4. Pour the lemon juice mixture over the salmon and avocado mixture.
5. Gently toss everything together until well combined.
6. Add the chopped fresh chives, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
7. Mix gently once more to ensure even distribution of the ingredients and seasoning.
8. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to one hour before serving.
