Roquefort Sauce: homemade recipe

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream
4 ounces Roquefort cheese, crumbled
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp salt (optional, to taste)

Directions

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
2. Add 1 minced garlic clove to the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
3. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Stir to combine with the garlic and butter.
4. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it starts to thicken.
5. Add 4 ounces of crumbled Roquefort cheese to the cream mixture. Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
6. Add 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt (if using). Stir well to combine all the flavors.
7. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until it reaches your desired consistency.
8. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
9. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Serve immediately over your preferred dish.
