Ingredients
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (7-9 lb)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
20 whole cloves
1/2 cup water
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Remove any packaging from the ham and place it in a roasting pan, flat side down.
3. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern using a sharp knife. Insert the whole cloves into the intersections of the cuts.
4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Cook and stir until the glaze is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
5. Pour the glaze over the ham, using a brush to evenly coat the surface.
6. Pour 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of the roasting pan to keep the ham moist.
7. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
8. Roast the ham for about 15-18 minutes per pound, basting with the pan juices every 30 minutes.
9. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of roasting to allow the glaze to caramelize.
10. Once the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven.
11. Let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
