Ingredients
2 cups hazelnuts
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are lightly browned and fragrant.
3. Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then, place them in a clean kitchen towel and rub them to remove as much of the skin as possible.
4. Transfer the peeled hazelnuts to a food processor and blend them until they turn into a smooth paste. This may take a few minutes.
5. Add the powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, and vegetable oil to the hazelnut paste.
6. Continue processing the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy. You may need to pause a few times to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
7. Once the mixture has reached a smooth and spreadable consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.
8. Store the homemade Nutella in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!
