Mexican Dressing or Ranchera Sauce: homemade recipe

Ingredients

2 cups of tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup of onions, finely chopped
1/4 cup of cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tbsp of lime juice
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 tsp of ground cumin

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes and finely chopped onions.
2. Add the chopped cilantro to the bowl.
3. Carefully add the seeded and minced jalapeño pepper.
4. Mince the garlic cloves and mix them into the bowl.
5. Pour in the lime juice and olive oil.
6. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, and ground cumin over the mixture.
7. Stir all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
8. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
9. Let the dressing sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
10. Serve as a dressing for salads or as a sauce for your favorite dishes.
