lettuce and vinaigrette salad: homemade recipe

Ingredients

1 head of romaine lettuce
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

1. Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Shake off the excess water and pat dry with paper towels or use a salad spinner.

2. Tear the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined.

4. Season the vinaigrette with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

5. Pour the vinaigrette over the romaine lettuce.

6. Toss the salad gently until the lettuce is evenly coated with the vinaigrette.

7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
