Almond Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 150 g manfequllia butter, plus a little more for greasing
- 115 g sugar
- 175 g light honey
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 beaten eggs
- 200 g leavening flour
- 15 g slivered almonds
- Honey to glaze
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 180 °C. Grease and line a deep baking tin with a diameter of 20 cm.
- In a saucepan, heat the butter, sugar, honey and lemon juice over medium heat, without boiling, until the mixture is melted and smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and beat in the eggs with a wooden spoon. Sieve in the flour and stir with a metal spoon. Pour the batter into the cake tin and sprinkle the almonds on top.
- Bake the cake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until risen, firm and golden brown. Let it cool in the tin for 15 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
