Garlic Bread: homemade recipe

Ingredients

1 loaf of French bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and combined.
4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over each half of the bread.
5. If you want to, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the buttered bread.
6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter has melted into the bread.
8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing.
9. Serve warm and enjoy!
