Ingredients
2 lbs of fish fillets
1 cup of all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 cup of vegetable oil (for frying)
1 lemon (optional, for serving)
Directions
1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
2. Season the fish fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
3. Pour the flour onto a plate.
4. Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl and beat them until smooth.
5. Dredge each fish fillet in the flour, coating both sides, and shake off any excess.
6. Dip the floured fish fillets into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
7. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
8. Place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
9. Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
10. Remove the fish fillets and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
11. Serve the fried fish fillets with lemon wedges, if desired.
