Dried Tomatoes: homemade recipe

Ingredients

4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. In a large bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure all the tomatoes are evenly coated.

4. Place the tomatoes on the prepared baking sheet, cut sides up.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 4 to 6 hours, checking occasionally. The tomatoes should be dry but still slightly pliable.

6. Let the dried tomatoes cool completely on the baking sheet.

7. Store in an airtight container or jar with a little more olive oil to preserve them.
