Danish Cookies: homemade recipe

Ingredients

Butter: 250 grams
Sugar: 200 grams
Brown sugar: 50 grams
Egg: 1 large
Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
All-purpose flour: 300 grams
Baking powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

6. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. Flatten each scoop slightly with the back of a spoon.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
