Chicken with Honey and Sesame or Sesame: homemade recipe

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 green onions, sliced

Directions

1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
2. Lightly coat the chicken breasts with the all-purpose flour on both sides.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to combine.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch until smooth.
7. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
8. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top to coat well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the chicken is heated through.
9. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the chicken.
10. Garnish with sliced green onions.
11. Serve hot.
