Baked chicken wings: homemade recipe

Ingredients

2 lb chicken wings
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
1/2 cup buffalo sauce (for serving, optional)

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top of the sheet.
3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
4. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings and olive oil. Mix until the wings are coated evenly.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
6. Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken wings and toss until the wings are evenly coated.
7. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and cooked through, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
9. Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
11. Serve with buffalo sauce if desired.
